Littleville Lake
Littleville Lake is located off Rt.112 in Huntington and Chester, MA. The 1,567 acre park offers visitors a variety of outdoor recreation activities in the scenic Berkshire Hills! An undeveloped oasis, you are likley to see wildlife from eagles to deer to the occasional moose! There's a trail that goes around the lake or you can walk to the top of the dam. Every spring, water releases at Littleville Lake are coordinated with those from nearby Knightville Dam to provide challenging flows for the annual Westfield River Wildwater Canoe Races. The Huntington Access Area provides a boat ramp and parking area for easy access to the lake for fishing and canoeing. Ice fishing, cross-country skiing, ice skating, snowshoeing and sledding are very popular during the quiet and serene days of winter.

Chesterfield Gorge
Chesterfield Gorge, in Chesterfield, MA, features a dramatic rock canyon features 70-foot-high walls carved by centuries of rushing water from the East Branch of the Westfield River. There is a half-mile trail along the cliff tops where you can see breathtaking views of the gorge, the river and the surrounding forest. A longer trail leads to the broad basin above Knightville Dam, a massive Army Corps of Engineers flood control project. The Knightville Dam and reservoir area are along the East Branch of the Westfield River. Most of the 2,430 acres of the Knightville Dam area is undeveloped. You may enjoy hiking, mountain biking or horseback riding along several miles of trails and old country roads. The area just below the dam has picnic tables, fireplaces, public restrooms and drinking water. The rivers and streams at Knightville offer excellent trout fishing. The river is stocked with trout in the spring.
